DEN brings TV Blogging via NDS

DEN, which had launched its 24x7 music service in January this year, recently rolled out the concept of an interactive TV micro blogging application named as ‘Blog.telly’. The service can be used by the DEN users as to comment on popular talks across four different sections including current affairs, movies, soaps & gossip and sports.

Cipla to lift Rs 6.75 billion through QIP issue

The official committee of directors of the company has decided to close the bid period and has sanctioned issuance of 2, 56, 30,000 equity shares of Rs 2 each at a price cost of Rs 263.75 a equity share in the QIP issue.
The company deals in the production of different drugs like antibiotics, anti-bacterial, anti-asthmatics, anthelmintics, anti-ulcerants, oncology, corticosteroids, nutritional supplements and cardiovascular drugs.
Pawar expects rise in rice prices

During the annual Rabi Campaign Conference, Mr. Pawar said, “It is important to us to plan and take compensatory steps to make good the production losses of Kharif crops by careful and judicious planning of the Rabi season.”
Maruti Suzuki to launch new power-packed variant of SX4

The new variant will come with a new BS4 engine having a capacity of 1.6L, which will provide better pick-up and enhanced performance.
The existing version of Maruti SX4 was launched by the company to compete with Honda City and Fiat Linea in the premium car segment.
HCL rebranded 'MiLeap' series as 'ME' series

The company has announced that it will make an investment of over Rs 50 crore in the next 2-3 years for rebranding of notebooks and netbooks.
The rebranding exercise is expected to raise company’s market share to 20 per cent. Currently, the company has a market share of about 7 per cent.
Bajaj Auto unveils RE600 cargo carrier

During the launch of new cargo carrier, Mr. R C Maheshwari, CEO of Bajaj Auto said, “With the launch of this vehicle, we are meeting the needs of those customers with payloads up to 600 kg and are not willing to pay high operating and fixed costs.”
Vodafone lifting India venture stake by 6%

It is said that company is buying 6 % stake from two of its companions for Rs 8.62 billion.
According to the reports, former MD of the Indian ventures Asim Ghosh, who posseses 4.68% of Vodafone Essar, and Indian businessman Analjit Singh, who holds 7.58%, would sell 49% of their holdings to Vodafone.
Ispat plans to invest Rs 2000 crore
Submitted by Navjot Singh on Fri, 09/25/2009 - 06:44Ispat Industries (IIL) is all set to invest Rs 2000 crore in the next two years. The company is planning to establish a captive power plant, a coke oven battery and a pellet plant at existing plant location at Dolvi in Maharasthra.
In the mean time, the company is scheduled to invest Rs 480 crore on two power units of 55MW each. The company has set aside Rs 600 crore for a 2.4 mt pellet plant, while the huge portion of the current amount will go into a one million tonne coke oven battery worth Rs 1,100 crore.
Samsung will soon launch its new M3310 dual slider
