TCS signs deal with Singapore Govt body

Software major Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has announced that it has signed a two-year multi-million dollar deal with Singapore-based People’s Association for application management services.

People’s Association is a constitutional board under Singapore’s Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports.

In a communiqué to NSE, TCS said that it will develop and maintain software applications for the association.

Tata DoCoMo launches GSM service in Haryana

Tata Teleservices, leading cellular services provider, has launched its mobile services on GSM network in Haryana. This is the first launch of GSM service in the northern region.

GM joins India's Reva to make electric car

Hotel Industry Back On Track - A Survey

A survey conducted by FICCI has revealed that the Indian Hotel Industry is on its way to recovery. Over 75% of the respondents expressed that their business will improve in the coming six months.

The FICCI report said, “"While nearly 40 per cent of the participants said the current performance of their industry is moderately-to- substantially better than the last six months, nearly 75 per cent feel that the hotel industry's performance would improve in the next six months.”

Calica announces IT SEZ worth Rs 650 crore

Ahmedabad-based realty developer Calica Construction and Impex Pvt Ltd has launched an Information Technology (IT) and IT enabled Services special economic zone (SEZ) ‘Third Eye Voice’ worth Rs 650 crore at Ahmedabad.

The SEZ will take place at the outer region of the city in over 20 acres of land and would house small as well as medium sized IT companies.

In a statement, the developer said that the first segment of the project will be completed within two years with initial investment of Rs 300 crore.
