Creative has introduced a new media player named ‘Zen Z-FI 2’ in the Indian market. Users can easily access the player’s functions as it has 3-inch touchscreen.

The newly launched device also permits users to play DivX and MPEG4 movies as well as view photos. The new Zen X-FI 2 is capable of MP3, WMA, AAC and FLAC audio formats and supports Creative’s proprietary X-FI Crystalizer and X-FI Expand technologies to improve sound quality.

Fujifilm India has declared the launch of world’s first 3D digital imaging system. The new device helps user to click and view 3D images with the naked eye. The company has launched nine digital cameras models in the Indian market, which includes 3D as well as slim cameras.

The new 3D system is powered with an 8 inch wide screen on which 3D image can be displayed, a 3D print, which helps to print 3D images. Further, it has FinePix REAL 3D W1 and the 3D camera.

State-owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd. (BSNL) has launched new night tariff packs for festive season.

Under the newly launched night packs, users can make local calls at 20 paise per minute and STD calls at 50 paise per minute between 11pm to 7 am. BSNL has also introduced a GPRS pack, which includes unlimited data services at the cost of Rs 230 and valid for 30 days.

Madhucon Projects JV (joint venture) has grabbed an order worth USD 3.9 million road project order from the Nepal government.

The company officials told reporters that the scope of the order includes up-gradation of Sanfebagar – Martadi road under road improvement project scheme funded by Exim Bank of India.

Steel major company, ArcelorMittal (ISPA. AS) is on the edge to shut down its $20 billion plan of setting up two steel plants in India owing to problems in acquiring land. The two steel plants were expected to be established in the state of Orissa and Jharkhand but farmers are not ready to sell their lands, which forced the company to rethink their plan.

The 3G auction may be delayed for another six moths as the Department of Telecom (DoT) will not be able to meet the deadline fixed earlier i. e. December 7, 2009.

As per the news sources, the Defence Ministry has issued a statement to DoT, which said that it would be in a position to release the 20 MHz of spectrum only if it had committed in June 2010 in spite of December 7, 2009.

National Aluminium Company Ltd (NALCO) has announced that Mr. AK Srivastava will be the new CMD of the company. MR. Srivastava has taken the charge after Shri. C R Pradhan quitted as the CMD of the company.

The newly appointed CMD, Mr. Srivastava is a mechanical engineer by profession. He had done his B. Tech in mechanical engineering and M. tech in industrial engineering from IIT, Delhi.

Mr. Srivastava has 30 years of professional experience in the public sector enterprises in different fields of engineering and management. 

Ghulam Nabi Azad, Union Health Minister, has expressed his strong fear over the shortage of doctors and infrastructure in the NE region. 

However, he praised the work done by Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi and State Health Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma in the medical region.

Mr. Azad also promised all possible help from the Centre to the State government. 

Founder of Satyam Computer Services, B. Ramalinga Raju was shifted to the ICU on Thursday night at the Nizam’s Institute of Medical Science (NIMS) after he complained of chest pain. 

According to the reports, Raju’s bail application will come up for hearing at local court in Hyderabad. 

Mr. B. R. Raju has applied for the bail for the first time since his arrest in January 2009.
