Amitabh Bachchan will not appear at the opening ceremony of the Couture Week as a show-stopper as fashion designers Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla have decided to move out of the HDIL India Couture Week at the last minute.
Jain and Khosla have withdrawn from the Couture Week citing disrespect shown by the company’s personnel managing the whole event.
While talking to media, the top designers said, “"We regret this announcement on the eve of our show, but cannot risk our guests being offended due to unorganized seating. After 23 years in the business, of perfecting craftsmanship and customer service it was better to withdraw based on principle rather than risk a show.”
Meanwhile, the organizers of the show are also upset with all this and called the designers duo's exit as “unprofessional”.
“To back out a day before their show is most unprofessional and regrettable. The rest of the event will continue as per the schedule and the couture week will now begin on Monday,” said the organizer of the show.
At the opening ceremony, stars like Abhishek Bachchan, Hrithik Roshan and his wife Suzanne were to walk the ramp.
Further, the designer duo said, “Mehmaan nawazi is not an obligation it is an understood happy assurance from our end always and in a scenario where we are not assured of it, we consider it better not to invite our guests and withdraw from the show.”
