Kawasaki Bajaj is all set introduce its new model of sports bike named ‘Ninja 250R’ in the Indian market. The new sports bike will be available in the market at the price tag around Rs 1.5 lakh to Rs 2 lakh. Bookings for the new sports will start from Diwali and deliveries will be made immediately by the company.
The new Ninja has 249cc four-stroke engine, 32 bhp, DOHC, liquid cooled parallel twin draped in green, with a claimed fuel consumption of 42.5 kpl. The spares will be imported from Japan and Thailand.
During the launch of Ninja 250R, Mr. Rajiv Bajaj, MD of Bajaj Auto said, “We are experiencing production shortage in case of Discover and Pulsar motorbikes as the sales of these two models are jointly expected to hit 1,30,000 mark. Also, the availability of the tyres for these vehicles is under pressure. This has resulted into certain waiting period for these two models.”
The company also plans to introduce three new models in commercial vehicle segment and passenger vehicle segment by March 2010.
