Pradeep Sarkar's 'Laaga Chunari Mein Daag' failed to woo audiences despite having some brilliant performances by Rani Mukherjee and Konkona Sen Sharma. But the failure of the film has not stopped Yash Raj Films from roping in Pardeep for their forthcoming project.

Sarkar, who shot to fame with 'Pareenita', will direct the yet-untitled flick with hot hunk Neil Mukesh and OSO gal Deepika Padukone.

The film will be produced by Aditya Chopra.

While talking to reporters, Yash Raj films said, “Yash Raj Films is pleased to announce its next project, directed by Pradeep Sarkar. Produced by Aditya Chopra, the film will star Neil Nitin Mukesh and Deepika Padukone as the lead pair. Both the actors have extremely challenging roles to play in this love story set in the gritty streets of Mumbai. The film is slated to go on floor this December and is scheduled for a 2010 release.”

Now, it’s quite interesting to see Deepika and Neil’s onscreen chemistry.
