Wanted ‘International girl trafficker’ arrested at Kolkata airport

A 37-year old woman, allegedly involved in the trafficking of girls in East Asian countries, has been arrested by the police on arrival from Bangkok at the N S C B international airport.

According to an airport official, the woman had produced the fake passport after her arrival from the Air India Express Bangkok-Kolkata flight. The woman alias Jyoti Rana alias Nisha Sharma alias Meherunnisa is a Delhi resident.

During interrogation, the security staff found that the lady has two different identities and also charged her with involvement in trafficking Indian girls to Malayasia and other countries.

An official said, the Kolkata police is also trying to find that whether she had any terrorist links or not. The 37-year old was later arrested by the immigration and then handed over to the airport police.
