As per the statement issued by the United States that India may face fresh terror attacks in the upcoming festival season of Eid, Dusshera and Diwali this month.
The US Embassy website shows a report on a travel alert on India, "The November 2008 attacks in Mumbai provided a vivid reminder that hotels and other public places are especially attractive targets for terrorist groups. US citizens are urged always to practice good security, maintain a heightened situational awareness and a low profile."
The website added, "The Department of State reminds US citizens of the continued possibility of terrorist attacks throughout India during the current Indian holiday season, which includes Hindu, Islamic and secular holidays as well as the period surrounding the commemoration of the September 11 terror attacks."
This is not the first occasion when the US govt has warned its citizens in India with such an advisory. It keeps admonishing US people time to time about the level of threat to their lives living in India.
However, the US department also made it clear that their security alerts were largely based on the Indian Government's own fear behind the terror attack.
