Reliance Mobile has introduced its local search service named as "BigMaps" on its GSM network. The service will help customers to search for directions, events, businesses and flicks.

The BigMaps service is only available for RCom through SMS, WAP and downloads. The newly launched users will be provided with maps data across 15 zoom levels and real time landmark based routing.

While talking to media persons, RCom head of value-added services, Mr. Krishan Durbha said, "Our BigMap service reiterates our focus of driving VAS leadership through innovative offerings. This service will increase the usage of device based search and navigation."

He added that this service will also be provided through internet in the near future.
