A technical fault in a Metro train held up services in New Delhi by at least 15 minutes, causing trouble to passengers.
A coach of the Delhi Metro derailed near the Yamuna Bank station in east Delhi. The train stopped there for at least 15 minutes, which causes problems to passengers.
No injury was reported in the incident.
Talking to press, a DMRC official said, "A Metro train going towards Yamuna Bank from Dwarka Sector 9 developed a break problem in the middle of its journey which led to the delay."
On the other hand, passengers said that trains were delayed for about 30 minutes.
"I was waiting at the station for about 30 minutes, but there was no train," said one of the passengers.
A high-level inquiry committee has been set up to look after the reason for the delay.
