Motorola to supply Digital Radio Communication solutions to Delhi and Mumbai metro

Global telecom major Motorola has received digital radio communication orders from Delhi Airport Metro Express Link and the Mumbai Metro across their networks.

As per the statement issued by Motorola, both have selected Motorola's TETRA (Terrestrial Trunked Radio) digital radio communication platform to make sure mission-critical communication over their rail networks. The company has also bagged similar deals from Delhi, Bangalore and Hyderabad airports.

During the press release, Mr. Subodu Vardhan, Motorola India Director Sales and Country Head Enterprise Mobility Solutions said, “With over 500 digital mission-critical networks successfully rolled out worldwide, including major strategic projects in India, we are very pleased to be bringing in our global learning to meet the stringent standards of these two metro projects in India.”

In the contracts, Motorola will provide its scalable Dimetra IP system, which will enable sefe and seamless communications needed for ensuring passenger safety and security.
