Unknown men entered into the house of a businessman and took away cash and jewellery worth Rs 15 lakh. The incident took place, when there was no one at the house in Mayur Vihar area.

As per police report, Rajesh Kumar’s house was robbed at about 9:30 pm on Saturday. He is a resident of Partap Nagar in Mayur Vihar Phase-I.

Talking to media, a senior police officer said that Mr. Kumar’s neighbors informed him about the incident. 

He added “We got a call from the house owner himself.” 

Mr. Kumar told police that Rs 77,000 cash and jewellery worth Rs 15 lakh was stolen. 

Police said, “Everything was ransacked in the house and the almirah, in which jewellery was placed, was broken. There was no one at the house at that time, as Rajesh Kumar had gone to his factory in Laxmi Nagar, and his wife and children were at their maternal grandparents place for the past few days.”
