Delhi magistrate detained under anti-trafficking law

Haryana Police arrested a Delhi magistrate along with three others, including a so-called call girl in Panipat, 170 km from Delhi.

They were booked under the prevention of Immoral Trafficking Act.

As per police reports, Raj Kumar Aggarwal, a magistrate in Delhi’s Tees Hazari courts, came to panipat with his friends, Subhash and Shamsher Singh. After that, they picked up a call girl on the Wednesday night from Delhi-Karnal bypass and took her to Subhash’s borrowed housing in Punjabi Colony in Samlakha area of Panipat town.

The case's investigating officer, Satpal Malik said, “We had got a tip-off and on raiding the premises, we found them in a compromising position.” Further, he added that they had sought permission from Delhi High Court to formally arrest the magistrate.

Police said that they were trying to find the identity of so-called prostitute and other people involved in the racket. Subhash resides in Sonepat town and his relative Shamsher is from Hisar town.
