Rs 10 crore recovered from senior VHP leader in Jaipur

The Income Tax Department has recovered Rs 10 crore in cash, and jewellery worth Rs 57 lakh from a Jaipur-based broker-cum-private lender Deen Dayal Modi.

Talking to media, Additional Director of Income Tax, Mr. Prasannjett Singh said, “We have seized Rs 10 crore in cash and jewellery worth Rs 57 lakh from the premises of the financial broker.”

Modi is the "sangrashak" of Jaipur "prant" of VHP and is its senior most leaders in Rajasthan.

Mr. Singh said that Modi allegedly used to lend black money to the people in need, and in this way, he turned his black money into legal tenders.

Modi is in police custody now and police is investigating that how and from where he collected this huge amount of money.
