PM Manmohan Singh talks with Nokia Chief

Nokia Corp president and Chief Executive Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo met Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and talked about the government’s polices and steps taken by the company to avail affordable connectivity in India.

According to the sources, Nokia will provide the handsets in rural parts of India. The company will offer the handsets even on installments.

Further, the Nokia Chief also expressed the need for re-energizing the telecom industry in India. He also talked with PM on the topic that how Nokia can participate in increasing telecom mobile insight in the country.

The Nokia chief is in India on a three-day visit, and is scheduled to meet key government officials and industry players.
