Hrithik to perform live at Rajiv Gandhi Awards after three years

After the gap of three years, actor Hrithik Roshan is all set to perform live at the 12th Rajiv Gandhi Award ceremony in Mumbai. The actor stayed away from the stage due to his knee injury.

This time, Hrithik’s fans will see him in a new role as he will do classical dance like Lezim dance of Maharashtra, Kathakali dance and the Kalaripayattu martial art form of Kerala. This is because his act ‘Colours Of India’ will be a tribute to Indian dance and art forms.

The actor said, “It will be great to perform live on stage after three long years. I have loved every moment of learning the various folk acts. When we present it on stage, I want and hope that the viewers will feel the enthusiasm and energy of this performance as well. Carving Dreams, the company that manages me, convinced me to return to the stage and be a part of the awards function.”

Actress Priyabka Chopra and Esha Deol will also perform in the Award ceremony. Hrithik’s last live performance was in Dubai at an international awards event heal in 2006.
