BJP following Appeasement Policy with Top Leaders

With the Lok Sabha Election only 6 months away the BJP is gearing up and trying to maintain tranquility within the

party's Top Brass. The BJP president Rajnath Singh on Tuesday appointed Kalraj Mishra a senior leader and member of Rajya

Sabha as the party's Election In charge of Uttar Pradesh which sends 80 members to Loksabha. While Mishra was in charge of

organizational affairs in Bihar, he will now take over as election in charge in UP along with Arun Jaitely who is

organizational head in the state.Mr Mishra is the most popular and visible Brahmin face in the state and is believed to have a

lot of followers in UP. There were contemplations within the party to replace Mishra with Mr. Ramapati Ram Tripathi who is the

BJP state chief but such a move could disturb the setup in the state and also send confusing signals to the alert electorate.

This move has also been made keeping in mind the RLD alliance which is growing weak. The RLD has a considerable hold on 12

constituencies in Western UP where BJP is hoping for support. Meanwhile also targeting Eastern UP by working on

Maintaining a good rapport with Mr. Om Prakash Rajbhar, leader of Bharat Samaj Party who commands the large OBC community. Now

with Mr. Mishra in UP the responsibilities of the party in the state will be handled mainly by Brahmins.
