Gul Panag Reveals Hypocrisy of Censor Board

The former Miss India is an excellent combination of beauty and brains. She has to her academic credit a Math Graduate degree

and Masters in Political Science as for her success in the entertainment industry she has done some very interesting films

like Dor, Dhoop, and Manorama Six Feet Under and is known for her sincerity towards her work. Her latest film 'Hello’ is just ready

for release where she is playing the character of a glamorous and modern girl opposite Sharman. To quote Gul the girl "is

someone who is very attractive and is completely aware of her power over the opposite sex ...”

The recent hype with the Censor Board is due to a mention of the word 'Condom' in her yet to release film 'Hello’. The context in

which the word has been mouthed is where Panag who is going to share an intimate moment with Sharman in the scene asks him "do

you have a condom”. The Censor has bleeped the word even though it has retained the actual scene. The actress finds it

ridiculous because in a country were propagation of safe sex is needed badly so as to get rid of the devilish disease AIDS such

an action of the Board has been considered hypocritical and silly. While the National Aids Control Organization (NACO) cries

hoarse about using condom to ensure safe sex and has also released ring tones which go 'Condom condom condom..." a decision

like this is bound to create confusion.
