Now, CBSE students will get as many as five attempts to clear their exams. The announcement was made by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), under which students of classes IX and X from the academic year 2009-10 will get five attempts to improve their grades. Students can sit for the exam again after one month.
Online CAT exams from November 28

As per the official announcement about CAT exam, it will begin from Nov 28 over a period of 10 days. A US-based firm is being appointed by the IIMs, and the firm will organize the exams through out the nation for students seeking admission in the high-status B-schools.
Hike in pay of lectures by Tamil Nadu Government

The wage revision follows the state administration’s decision to accept the UGC’s recommendations in toto.
Talking to reporters, CM M Karunanidhi said that professors of universities and colleges would now get Rs 62,085 per month from the existing pay scale of Rs 40,344.
CBSE Class X exams optional, Parents unhappy

The decision was made in a meeting of the Council of Boards of School Education (Cobse) at New Delhi. Legislative bodies of around 42 secondary boards of the country were present at the meeting.
