Reliance Mobile, major telecom provider in India, has announced that the company has joined hands with Canadian firm Research In Motion to roll out BlackBerry Tour smartphone for its CDMA consumers in India at Rs 27,990.

The company will start selling BlackBerry Tour, a 3G-enabled smartphone, from October 12, 2009.  

Reliance Mobile has introduced its local search service named as "BigMaps" on its GSM network. The service will help customers to search for directions, events, businesses and flicks.

The BigMaps service is only available for RCom through SMS, WAP and downloads. The newly launched users will be provided with maps data across 15 zoom levels and real time landmark based routing.
