Tata Steel to construct hospital in Orissa
Submitted by Navjot Singh on Tue, 10/13/2009 - 08:13Tata Steel is all set to help the needy people in Orissa as it has planned to establish a 200-bed hospital at Gobarghati in Kalinganagar industrial area of Orissa’s Jajpur district.
The new hospital will have 24x7 services, a pathology lab and outdoor complex. About 10,000 people will get benefit with the establishment of this hospital.
Around four-acre area has been acquired by the steel giant for building up its hospital. The company is building the new hospital for the families working in its green field steel project in Kalinganagar.
Tata DoCoMo launches GSM service in Haryana

Mr. Anil Sardana, MD of Tata Teleservices (TTSL) launched the service by first call on the Tata DoCoMo Haryana network to the state Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda.
GM joins India's Reva to make electric car

Talking to media, Mr. Cheatan Maini, deputy chairman of Reva said, “Our unique collaboration has the potential to result in far-reaching changes for the industry.” He said that the company likes to take India to a global level for the development and manufacturing of electric cars.
Maruti Suzuki to launch new power-packed variant of SX4

The new variant will come with a new BS4 engine having a capacity of 1.6L, which will provide better pick-up and enhanced performance.
The existing version of Maruti SX4 was launched by the company to compete with Honda City and Fiat Linea in the premium car segment.

Reliance MediaWorks to establish 100 more screens by 2011

During a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), Reliance MediaWorks said that the company has regrouped the Big Cinemas process into geographies to properly support its working in regional markets. The company would largely focus on operations in North, East and Central India.
Virgin, Spice bid for MTNL's 3G

The reaction to this venture has been less than impressive.
According to sources, only two companies filled including Richard Branson’s Virgin Group and BK-Modi’s Spice have submitted their bids to market Mahanagar Telephone Nigam (MTNL) 3G services in two telecom circles Mumbai and Delhi.
Nagarjuna wins Rs 481-crore orders

Out of the two new orders, the first order worth Rs 449 crore is from the water resources department of Bihar for the restoration of Eastern Gandak canal system, which is to be completed in 25 months.
The second order, worth Rs 32 crore, is from MRF limited, a Chennai-based tyre maker, for the manufacture of its desired radial tyre and easy tyre plants in Medak district of Andhra Pradesh.
Maruti to launch a new revived Estilo

These KB series engines are said to be very fuel efficient and also fulfill the Bharat stage IV and Euro V emission norms.
The Gurgaon manufacturing plant of the Maruti has been selected for the production of the new Estilo. It is the same plant from where the A-Star and Ritz has been manufactured.
The new car is expected to cost around Rs 3.06 lakh to Rs 3.32 lakh.
